Panmetry’s own method

We check official and independent data, examine meaningful discrepancies and establish the values used for conversion.

Your ingredient and your measure

The conversion accounts for the ingredient’s form and the capacity of your cup, glass or spoon.

Both directions, one tool

Grams to cups, spoons to grams and back again — switch direction without opening another calculator.

Precision starts with the details. And with Panmetry’s own method.

We cross-check official and independent data, examine meaningful discrepancies in detail and account for what affects the conversion:the type of ingredient, its form and your chosen kitchen measure.

Behind every Panmetry answer is a check of the data, not a blindly copied table. You get a result for your chosen ingredient and measure without having to compare reference guides yourself.

Start with oz by weight

The calculator starts with all-purpose flour and a US cup. Change the ingredient and its form before converting a different product. Flour, sugar and milk do not fill the same cup for a given weight.

A fluid-ounce label uses a different task

Check whether the recipe or package says oz or fl oz. The fluid-ounce converter needs no ingredient; this page uses the selected food to connect weight with volume. A liquid product can still be labeled by weight.

Find a useful portion without changing the product

The weight-first table covers common ounce quantities. The reverse table starts with cup fractions, useful when you want to know how much of a weighed package your recipe uses.

No. For weight ounces, the cup result follows the selected ingredient and cup size. Use the fluid-ounce page when the recipe specifies fl oz.

What should I select for cream cheese?
