Small fractions of a cup
Use the table for portions such as one sixteenth or one eighth of a cup. These can be easier to measure with a teaspoon than against a widely spaced cup marking.
Move to a larger measure when useful
For many teaspoons, switch to tablespoons or cups to reduce repeated filling. The conversion stays a volume calculation; flour, sugar and liquid ingredients do not change the selected unit sizes.
