From everyday staples to ingredients used in cuisines around the world, find the option you need in one catalogue.
We check official and independent data, examine meaningful discrepancies and establish the values used for conversion.
The conversion accounts for the ingredient’s form and the capacity of your cup, glass or spoon.
Grams to cups, spoons to grams and back again — switch direction without opening another calculator.
We cross-check official and independent data, examine meaningful discrepancies in detail and account for what affects the conversion:the type of ingredient, its form and your chosen kitchen measure.
Behind every Panmetry answer is a check of the data, not a blindly copied table. You get a result for your chosen ingredient and measure without having to compare reference guides yourself.
Select the recipe’s cup capacity, ingredient and filling method. Enter the full cup quantity, including fractions, then place your bowl on the scales, zero it and weigh the calculated amount.
For flour, lightly spooned and levelled means filling the measure without pressing the flour down, then levelling the top. Choose the filling method you intend to reproduce before converting the recipe.
A cup fraction belongs to a particular cup size: half of a 250 mL cup has a different volume from half of a US customary cup. Panmetry carries the selected capacity through to the gram result.
Filling instructions matter as well. Packed brown sugar and loosely filled sugar describe different portions; spooned flour and scooped flour are separate choices. When a recipe supplies its own gram weight beside the cup measure, use that paired weight to reproduce the recipe.
Look up a fraction from your recipe without changing the ingredient or cup standard. These rows use all-purpose wheat flour, lightly spooned and levelled, in a US customary cup (236.588 mL).
This reference table keeps the US customary standard shown in its caption. Changing the calculator’s measures updates your result; it does not change the table.

A measurement includes both the ingredient and the filling condition. Preserving that condition lets the gram result describe the portion you intend to reproduce.
Use the recipe’s paired gram weight to reproduce the author’s portion. To calculate another amount or change kitchen measures, select the ingredient and its form in the converter.
